What's Happening?

Gloucester Community Church | On the Edge

On the Edge, for everyone aged school yrs 8-13, is based in Gloucester Community Church. We get together a couple of times a week to look at the Bible, to pray, worship, chat about how we can follow Jesus better in our lives at school, college or work. We also meet on some Saturday nights at the Star 66 Centre for pool, videos and games.

You certainly don’t have to go to a church to come along, although many in the group go to the Sunday service. If you want to be part of the group, it would be great to see you! Please contact Matt and Debbie Williams to find out the latest with what’s going on.

Gloucester Community Church | Off The Edge

Off The Edge (OTE), for everyone aged school yrs 6-8, is a church based youth group which covers life skills, moral issues, fun events and socials. We also see how we can better our lives with God in control through the Sunday sessions.

Gloucester Community Church | Rock Solid

The Rock Solid club, for everyone aged school yrs 7, 8, and 9 is a programme which hasbeen developed in order to help local churches reach out to young people. Rock Solid is specifically geared towards the 11-14 age groups, with their particular tastes, interests and needs in mind.

Each club night is based around a particular theme such as: friendship, bullying, the media, drugs, forgiveness etc. They start with energetic games and move on to life-skills, which include small group discussions, video clips and role-plays.

Towards the end of the evening they look at how God wants to help with the issue in focus. The club then closes with a lively, memorable game and refreshments.

Where: Star 66 Centre, Linden
Time: Mondays 6 - 7.15pm

Gloucester Community Church | Kidz Klub

The Saturday morning event (Klub) is an hour of fun and enjoyment leading to a serious Bible-based message. Described as a cross between the TV show Dick and Dom and traditional Sunday school, it features burping competitions, eating dry cream crackers, filling wellies with jelly and money jumps. But during Silent Seats the kids are expected to stay completely silent while they are taught God's word.

We aim to educate the children about how to make the right choices in their lives. This includes teaching about staying off drugs, keeping out of crime and staying in school. Family relationships and friendships are encouraged. Building a child's self esteem and confidence, helping them to be the best they can be and encouraging their skills and gifts are all important. Kidz Klub hopes to make the difference for a generation of kids across Gloucester. We offer the kids a positive alternative in a secure and safe environment.

Gloucester Community Church | Tiny Tunes
